The perils of Pontiac valve stems …. Who knew that those little stubby but important tire components could cause all that ruckus. In November of 2025 I purchased a set of four Toyo Observe GSI-6 snow tires from Vaughan. They are magnificent: quiet, excellent road handling and exhibit excellent road traction. But I knew it was too good to be true. Those pesky valve stems reared their ugly little “heads”. In December, one began to leak, loosing about 1-2 pounds of air pressure a day. Vaughan replaced it gratis. Then in March of 2026, another valve stem followed the course of its cousin, also leaking air slowly but surely. At that point we knew that this was a trend rather than a fluke. I can honestly say that over many years of driving, I had never replaced a valve stem let alone two! Vaughan investigated further, recognizing that the other valve stems would, over time, likely also fail. Turns out that there was a conspirator to the valve stem failures: the OE steel rims, although extensively refinished (wire brushed, sanded, primed and repainted) were getting on in age (my Pontiac is from 2008) and the perforation for the valve stems offered a perfect spot for rust. It was likely that the irregular texture and flakiness of the rusty surfaces prevented a good seal for the valve stems. Maybe those poor little valve stems were innocent after all… Vaughan’s solution to all this drama was thorough, helpful, kind and considerate: as they were investigating the valve stems, they swapped my new snow tires for my summer ones and having concluded that the steel rims were partly to blame, paid for two new ones while I paid for the other two and replaced all four valve stems. Voila! A perfect solution. And the end of lots of drama caused by steel rims AND valve stems. Thanks to BJ and Josh at Vaughan for their attention to detail, kindness and tenacity at solving the pesky problem. This kind of care is an important component of good customer service which Vaughan excels at. Thank you sincerely.

Very impressive. They sent me a comprehensive report with pictures. They explained what was needed clearly. The service desk has a very kind woman who clearly answers any questions. They contact you by phone, text msg ,and email. They offer a shuttle service. I think it is amazing. Just had my air conditioning restored and summer tires installed.

Called them up on a late Monday afternoon with a number of issues that came up on my dash. They booked me in at 730 the next AM. Provided a "loner" car for me. Diagnostic check was done Tues and gave me the detailed work that had to be done to correct the issues I had reported, right down to the cost for parts/labour. I was kept up to date on the issues all through the process right from the parts being ordered and when they would be at their garage.. Car finished on Thursday AM. Very pleased with the staff as usual. Definitely my go to place for vehicle servicing. My 3rd visit and always looked after promptly.

I was having issue with tire pressure . I took my car to Vaughan Service without an appointment, and left it with them . An hour later i got a call telling me what was wrong, and that the Electrical part was in stock .Another hour later i was picking up my car all done . Our car hasn’t felt and looked this good since we bought it new. Thx Josh, Dave and your entire team. I left my paperwork, for services performed, at the shop. I called and asked if I could pick it up tomorrow for my records. Josh stated he would drop the paperwork off to my address on his way home. By the time I was home my paperwork was in my mailbox. Fantastic service. Took my 2010 Honda Accord here for brake and fluid service. You can really feel the difference with a family-owned shop because you get real value for what you spend. I especially appreciate the complimentary inspection and the honest advice from the staff (Jamie). They take the time to look at your vehicle carefully while keeping costs in mind. It’s rare to find a shop that doesn’t try to upsell everything. Highly recommend!

I have been a three-year customer with Vanghan Auto since 2022. I was very happy with the service done on my 2013 RAV 4 with my first visit/appointment. Vanghan Auto provides professional and Knowledgeable service with fair price. They looked after my 2013 RAV 4 well.
